A Sad Story - Never Leave Your Children Alone in the House

This is a sad story from one lady. She went to visit her husband who was very sick in the hospital. So, she left her three children at home because she thought she couldn't take them to the hospital alone in the night time. While she was at the hospital with her husband, the fire spreaded quickly in her house.

So, what had happen to her children?

Her first two children, 10 years old and 8 years old, could escaped from the fire, and ask their neighbor to help their sister, 1 year old, who was laying down on her bed, because there was a lot of smoke from the fire in the house, so they couldn't help their sister.

The fire spreaded very fast as the house was made from wood. Their neighbors couldn't help her. Therefore, their youngest sister was burn in the fire while she was laying down on the bed.

When their mother came back home, she was shocked what had happed to her life and her children.

This is a true story. Whenever we want to go some where, we must take our children with us no matter how hard it is.

Teach Children to Eat Halal Food

My small children are so innocent and they won't know what is halal or haraam. Eating halal or haraam food will effect on our body and mind. So, it is our duty to teach them eating only Halal food and prevent them from eating Haraam food.

Most of my neighbors are non- Muslims. They know that I can't eat haraam food or buy any food from non-Muslim's restaurant. One day some of my neighbors were eating watermelon and they asked me that my duaghter could eat their watermelon or not. In reply, " I am sorry. I don't let her eat anything from anyone because I want to teach her eating food or any snacks which are given by her parents only. This is for her safety because in our society the children are kidnapped everyday. When she has to go to school or meet any unknown people outside, she won't take any food or snacks from them."

One day one of my neighbor, a seller of juice drink, asked me that I can drink juice which was made from her or not, and she explained to me that she never used the juice maker or any pot mixing with haraam food. Then I told her, "I still can't drink eventhough you told me all of the juice process. I don't mean to disbelieve you, but I want to teach my chidren not to buy any food or drink from non-Muslim shop. We don't know other non-Muslim's juice shop will make juice like yours. To reduce my children's doubts, we don't buy and drink juice from non-Muslim."

By the way, I really want to teach my children not to take anything or any food from non-Muslims and unknown people. This will prevent my children from Haraam food and all kinds of shortcoming.

Snake in the Toilet

I read one news in the afternoon and I think it is very important for all of us to make sure that every places are safe for our children.

This news was about one lady heard some noise in the kitchen last night. She thought that was a theif. While she was going to the kitchen, a big snake was already in the toilet. She didn't see anyone in the kitchen, so she went to the toilet before going to her bed again. She didn't turn on the light as usual that made her foot step on the snake's body, and the snake bit her leg immediately. She screamed so loudly and asked her neighbor to help her.

This story makes me think a lot of thing for the safety of my children. I just have to make sure that the places, where my children are playing, are safety for them.

Olive Oil for Baby

I remember on the day I took my new born baby to have physical check up. The doctor suggested me to use live oil to massage my baby before take a bath for half hour because he saw my baby's skin was dry. He said it is good for the baby. If we do this massage with the olive oil after taking a bath, the baby will feel hot on his body.

After finishing checking up my baby, the doctor remind me again that never use the baby oil , but use the olive oil before taking a bath.

Yes, it is very good for the baby.

Respect Elders

No matter we are Muslim or non-Muslim, we would like to hear our children addressed us or elders with respect. Therefore, we should teach our children to call parents and elders "Daddy, Pappa, Mama, Mother, Brother, Sister, Uncle, etc.".

Moreover, we should teach our own children to show respect to all elders (even the elders are maids or servants).

Just Imagine! If our children show respect to others, I believe that everybody will love and show kindness to them.

How To Teach Our Children To Show Their Respect To Elders and Everybody?

  • Teach our childern to address elders with respect and let them practice.
  • We should be good example for our children. Whatever we do in front of the children, they will try to follow us. If they see us showing respect to the elders, they will follow.
  • Never be appreciated with our children if they disrespect elders or anyone. Always correct them and remind them what is right or wrong.

By doing this, Insha Allah, our children will show respect to elders and other people.

Be Careful of Your Kids' Safety While Playing in the Park

Last week, I took my daughter outside, and we sat in the park with one of our neighbor. While we were talking and playing with our neighbor, one girl was riding her bycicle very fast and going to hit my daughter's chair without knowing, and my daughter's face hit the table so hardly. My daughter cried so much because she had pain on her face.

After that, this girl's grandmother told me that this girl didn't know how to control her bycicle well. To keep a good relationship with my neighbor, I just said nothing but taking care my daughter and took her home. However, I thought that if her grandmother knew that she didn't know how to control the bycicle, then her grandmother shouldn't let this girl ride the bycicle alone because it might harm other people.

The reason that I told you about this accident because I would like to let anyone, who let your kids playing alone outside, to keep an eye on them because we don't know what will happen to our kids. Our kids may not harm or hurt other kids, but other kids may hurt or harm your kids.

Are Your Kids Often Sick?

No doubt! If our kids are often sick, we will be very worried, and we can't have enough rest or relax because we have to take care of them. Many doctors, nurses, our family members, and anyone, who has knowlegde on how to take care of the baby, would suggest us to give our children nutrious food, to let them sleep early, to keep cleanliness on their clothes, accessories, etc.

However, my respected elders suggested me that if I really want my children to be healthy without any kind of sickness, I should try my best to follow the command of Allah and ask Allah to grant my children healthy.

It's true that healthy and sickness are in Allah's Hand. So, we should try our best to please Allah and make a lot of dua for our children. Insha Allah, may Allah accept our dua and grant our children to be healthy. Ameen.

This is true story:

one of my friend told me that her daughter, 3 years old, was sick almost every day. That time she didn't observe her salaat. One of her neighbor told her everyday to perform Salaat as it is the duty of all Muslims. And her neighbor told her about the greatest of Allah, the Mercy of Allah, what happen about life after death, what will be the punishment if we miss salaat, and what will be the reward for one who observe her salaat regularly.

Her Neighbor was so patient to remind her the important of following the command of Allah until one day she changed her lifestyle and performs salaat regularly by the Mercy of Allah Ta'ala. She told me that her daughter is healthier and rarely sick after she had performed Salaat regulary, made a lot of dua for her children, family, and herself, and try to follow the command of Allah Ta'ala for sevelral months. She said, " Allah really shows mercy upon her to grant her baby healthy, and her life has more barakat. "

May Allah Grant Our Children Healthy and Successful in Dunya and Hereafter. Ameen.
