Proud to Be a Muslim

I have searched about Islamic poem and nasheed for my children. I saw one nasheed "Proud to be a Muslim" by Hafiz Kamal Uddin. This nasheed has very good meaning that made me think, "If we are proud to be a Muslim, we should please Allah by following the command of Allah and the teaching of the prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasalam."

By only listen and sing to this nasheed without practicing Islam doesn't mean that we are proud to be Muslim. The nasheed has good meaning and it can remind us that how lucky we are that Allah shows us His Mercy to understand Islam and have Islam as our religion.

I am really grateful to Allah Ta'ala that shows mercy upon me by guiding me in the right path. I converted to Islam 10 years ago. Because of Allah's mercy, I have become a good Muslim and I know that Islam is the best and I must be proud to be a Muslim by following the teaching of the prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Our characters, our dress, our daily life should be distinguised from non-Islam. Many people say many bad things about Islam as they don't know how good this religion is. If they know and understand the real teaching of Islam, they will never refuse Islam. May Allah grant us Taufiq. Ameen.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon

Last few days, Ruqayyah's brother (1 years and 5 months old) fell and this made him cry. Ruqayyah (2 years and 7 months old) told her brother "Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajioon. may Allah be with you." I was so surprised to hear that and it made me very happy because she remembered these words that I used to tell her to say whenever she fell and asked her to make dua to ask Allah Ta'ala to protect her.

Today, I was sick. I had stomachache. I told her, "Ruqayyah, I couldn't take you outside to play today because I am sick and tomorrow I will let you play outside. Insha Allah."

After hearing this, she said to me, "Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajioon."

I told her to make dua for me. Then she said, "May Allah cure my Umme."

By saying these above words "Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajioon", we will get the reward from Allah Ta'ala. And how nice it is if we hear our children saying these words with their love for Allah. What a great reward that Allah prepare for us and our children!

Homeschool for My Little Daughter

It is like a fashion in my non-Muslim society that most of the parents send their children to nursery school and most of the parents are so happy to see the development of their children. Many of my neighbors asked me when will I send my daughter to the school and where will be her school because most of their kids are studying in the nusery school and the kids learn many things from there. Most of them are curioused about me as being a Muslim and how will I support my children's education. I only told them that I will send my children to Muslim school so that my children will have Islamic environment and I won't be worried about their food, safety and so on.

As being a housewife, I help my husband's work and take care of the childrens myself. I have taught my children at home for such a long time. However, i also wanted my daughter to go to nursery school, so that she will be ready to study in Grade 1.

When I went to see the schools for my daughter, I decided not to put my daughter in the nursery school. I felt that the school is not suitable for my daughter as it is far from my home and she is too young to wake up so early in the morning to face traffic jam everyday. She will get tired and won't learn anything but feeling sleepy in the class. Therefore, I teach my little daughter at home before she will go to school next year. I believe that my daughter will learn and will be enjoyed homeschool.

I started searching about the lesson plan and information for teaching my daughter and rearrange my home for more space and my schedule time since that day. I know that it will be a lot of work for me but it is a really big investment for my children's future.

It was the first day of my daughter's homeschool (1 April 2008). She was enjoyed and keep on asking me to tell her the stories and poem.

This morning she woke up and told me, "Umme, I want to study."

Please Take Precautions

Fatwa

Saudi council of Muftis have given an unanimous Fatwa that ring tones on QURAN AAYAT are haraam because the AAYAT are not complete when we pick the phone and meanings of AAYAT changes when they are not complete. Quran is for HIDAYAT and not for ring tones.

Please inform others

Kindly pass this message to other Muslim brothers and siters as well as friends.

BE ADVISED!!!
  • Don't say "Mosque" Say always "Masjid"
Because Islam organization has found that's mosque = mosquitoes
  • Don't write "Mecca" Write always correctly "Makkah"
Because Mecca = house of wines
  • Don't write "Mohd" Write always completely as "Muhammad"
Because Mohd = the dog with big mouth
Please tell this fatwa to many Muslims as you can for sawaab. Nothing bad will happen if you don't tell anyone but these points are important and it is our duty to educate our brothers and sisters.
