My first daughter is going to school!!!

Ruqayyah is so happy to go to school. The first day of her study was a wonderful day for her and me. Why???

"She didn't cry at all and she was so enjoy and her teacher was appreciated with her as she is good and smart girl."

She has to wake up so early 5:45 am everyday but she dosen't cry at all after wake up because she sleeps immediately after Isha Salaat. After she goes to school, I really feel that she is more mature and becomes talkative girl.

Proud to Be a Muslim

I have searched about Islamic poem and nasheed for my children. I saw one nasheed "Proud to be a Muslim" by Hafiz Kamal Uddin. This nasheed has very good meaning that made me think, "If we are proud to be a Muslim, we should please Allah by following the command of Allah and the teaching of the prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasalam."

By only listen and sing to this nasheed without practicing Islam doesn't mean that we are proud to be Muslim. The nasheed has good meaning and it can remind us that how lucky we are that Allah shows us His Mercy to understand Islam and have Islam as our religion.

I am really grateful to Allah Ta'ala that shows mercy upon me by guiding me in the right path. I converted to Islam 10 years ago. Because of Allah's mercy, I have become a good Muslim and I know that Islam is the best and I must be proud to be a Muslim by following the teaching of the prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Our characters, our dress, our daily life should be distinguised from non-Islam. Many people say many bad things about Islam as they don't know how good this religion is. If they know and understand the real teaching of Islam, they will never refuse Islam. May Allah grant us Taufiq. Ameen.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon

Last few days, Ruqayyah's brother (1 years and 5 months old) fell and this made him cry. Ruqayyah (2 years and 7 months old) told her brother "Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajioon. may Allah be with you." I was so surprised to hear that and it made me very happy because she remembered these words that I used to tell her to say whenever she fell and asked her to make dua to ask Allah Ta'ala to protect her.

Today, I was sick. I had stomachache. I told her, "Ruqayyah, I couldn't take you outside to play today because I am sick and tomorrow I will let you play outside. Insha Allah."

After hearing this, she said to me, "Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajioon."

I told her to make dua for me. Then she said, "May Allah cure my Umme."

By saying these above words "Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajioon", we will get the reward from Allah Ta'ala. And how nice it is if we hear our children saying these words with their love for Allah. What a great reward that Allah prepare for us and our children!

Homeschool for My Little Daughter

It is like a fashion in my non-Muslim society that most of the parents send their children to nursery school and most of the parents are so happy to see the development of their children. Many of my neighbors asked me when will I send my daughter to the school and where will be her school because most of their kids are studying in the nusery school and the kids learn many things from there. Most of them are curioused about me as being a Muslim and how will I support my children's education. I only told them that I will send my children to Muslim school so that my children will have Islamic environment and I won't be worried about their food, safety and so on.

As being a housewife, I help my husband's work and take care of the childrens myself. I have taught my children at home for such a long time. However, i also wanted my daughter to go to nursery school, so that she will be ready to study in Grade 1.

When I went to see the schools for my daughter, I decided not to put my daughter in the nursery school. I felt that the school is not suitable for my daughter as it is far from my home and she is too young to wake up so early in the morning to face traffic jam everyday. She will get tired and won't learn anything but feeling sleepy in the class. Therefore, I teach my little daughter at home before she will go to school next year. I believe that my daughter will learn and will be enjoyed homeschool.

I started searching about the lesson plan and information for teaching my daughter and rearrange my home for more space and my schedule time since that day. I know that it will be a lot of work for me but it is a really big investment for my children's future.

It was the first day of my daughter's homeschool (1 April 2008). She was enjoyed and keep on asking me to tell her the stories and poem.

This morning she woke up and told me, "Umme, I want to study."

Please Take Precautions

Fatwa

Saudi council of Muftis have given an unanimous Fatwa that ring tones on QURAN AAYAT are haraam because the AAYAT are not complete when we pick the phone and meanings of AAYAT changes when they are not complete. Quran is for HIDAYAT and not for ring tones.

Please inform others

Kindly pass this message to other Muslim brothers and siters as well as friends.

BE ADVISED!!!
  • Don't say "Mosque" Say always "Masjid"
Because Islam organization has found that's mosque = mosquitoes
  • Don't write "Mecca" Write always correctly "Makkah"
Because Mecca = house of wines
  • Don't write "Mohd" Write always completely as "Muhammad"
Because Mohd = the dog with big mouth
Please tell this fatwa to many Muslims as you can for sawaab. Nothing bad will happen if you don't tell anyone but these points are important and it is our duty to educate our brothers and sisters.

"What's happened to my daughter?"

Islam really protects ourselves, our children, and our property. Since my older sister and I accepted Islam, we believe that Islam makes us a good person and protect us from all kinds of crime, calamities, etc. Alhamdulillah. Allah Ta'ala grant us the best religion in the world. We love and enjoy the sweetness of Islam.

Yesterday I had a chance to read my local news. It is so sad that a little girl, who is only 13 years old was raped by her boyfriend and his friends.

Her boyfriend, who this girl knows for 2 years, called this girl and told her that he would take her to travel around the city. She believed and trusted him that he might not do anything bad to her. After this girl went with him, he took her to one house, where is in the middle of the forrest. Then the girl saw that there were many men sitting inside the house. When they saw her, her boyfriend and all men took her to the house and raped her.

This often happens to non-Muslim girls.

It is so sad if it happens to our family, our beloeved one, or our friend. However, it won't be happen if we follow Islamic shariah strictly. Allah will protect us from all calamities when we follow the command of Allah and the teaching of the prophet (SAW).

If we observe the hijab, don't go outside uncessary, and never go with non-mahram, insha allah, nothing bad will happen to us or our children. Hajab is the protection for all ladies. However, we must understanding the meaning and the aim of Hijab and wear the hijab correctly according to the shariah, not follow the fashion of hijab as we see nowaday. Insha Allah, we will see barakah and protection in this world and the hereafter.

Mother can make a child to be a Hafiz of the Quran.

Yesterday, I talked with my husband about our children's future. We want them to be religious and be a Hafiz of the Quran. Then, he told me one family that there are six children and all of them are hafiz of the quran and recite the Quran very beautiful. They are all religious. Everybody want them to lead Taraweh prayer in the Masjid. One day my husband asked one of them that how they become a Hafiz of the Quran and their father teach them the Quran by himself as he is Qari. His father was really strict with them. That's why all of them become a Hafiz and so religious.

The hafiz replied my husband that it was not his father to make him and his brother become a Hafiz, but the mother. His mother beat all of them everyday because she wanted their children to memorize the Quran and recite what they already learn everyday. His mother was very strict and made all of her children become a good Muslim.

Then, my husband asked him, "Is you mother a Hafiz?"

The hafiz replied, "No. My mother forced all of us to memorize the quran and recite it everyday. And made us practice Islam. All goodness is for my mother. Nowaday, all of us enjoy the sweetness of Imaan."

May Allah reward her. Ameen.

After listening this story, I hope I will be like her and my children will enjoy the fruit of Islam and will be a Hafiz of the Quran.

"Lailaha illallah"

As a mother, I really teach my children "Lailaha Illallaho" since they learned how to speak and wish them recite "Lailaha Illallah" before any words. This will bring a pleasure of Allah to us.

When my daugther can recite only the first part of Kalimah Tayyibah, I tried to teach her to recite the whole Kalimah Tayyibah. Alhamdulillah, she can recite "Lailaha Illallahu Muhammadurasoollullah."

At the beginning of teaching, I was upset because she couldn't recite or remember at all. No matter how hard I have tired, she could say only "Laa". What I could do was "To be patient and ask Allah to grant my children ability to recite the Kalimah." After few months past, she could recite the Kalimah properly, Alhamdulillah.

We can only teach our children word by word and be patient for the result.

Just imagine, every time she recites this kalimah, Allah will reward her and her mother as well. May Allah grant our children recite the Kalimah properly and understand its meaning.

The month of shaban

The month of Rajab has passed. We have just entered into the month of Shabaan quickly moving into the radar of the Blessed Ramadan.

Our Beloved Prophet Sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam made great efforts to use the month of Shabaan as a period of preparation for Ramadan. He fasted excessively, made abundant du`aa and continuously reminded the companions of the forthcoming month.

We too, must follow the example of the Prophet. Sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam.Let us prepare ourselves spiritually for the onset of this most Blessed Month.

This is the month of Shaban. May Allah bless us and grant us Taufiq. Ameen.

What is the virtue of the month of Shaban?

What should we do in the month of Shaban?

What will make Allah please us in Shaban?

Reading Taleem to Children Everyday

I have started to read an Islamic book, Fazal-e-amaal (Taleem) to my children everyday since last week. At the begining, my children didn't sit down and listen to the story properly. So, I had to make them sit and listen to the story. After I finished reading the story, I would say before them, "May Allah grant us Taufiq and make Ruqayyah and Muaz to be a beloved servant of Allah. Ameen."

Everytime I said "Ameen", my duagther ruqayyah often said in Thai "Ameen, koh Allah tob tan ka," that mean "May Allah reward. Ameen."

I have made them to sit and listen to Taleem for a week with hope that they will be deciplined soon.

Alhamdulillah, after dhur salaat, my children sat and listened to Taleem properly.

If we read Islamic stories (the stories of sahaba), instead of unIslamic stories, to the children, insha allah, Allah will make them to be rightous.

Teach our children to use the right hand to eat food.

Since my daughter could hold food and eat by herself, she used only her left hand to eat. Everytime I saw her using her left hand, I had to tell her, "Allah is not happy if you don't use your right hand to eat," and then I had to make her using right hand to eat. Until now, she is 2 years old. She uses her right hand automatically and know that if using left hand Allah is not happy.

It is our duty to teach children to use right hand to eat. This is the sunnah of our beloved Nabi sallallahu alaihi wasallam.

To follow one sunnah, we will receive the reward equal to 100 Shaheed. So, teaching our children to use right hand to eat food is a great thing to do and it will make Allah happy with us.

Just imagine that we will get the reward whenever we follow sunnah of our beloved prophet sallallaho alahi wasallam. When we teach our children one sunnah and they follow what we teach them, then we also get the same reward from what they do.

For example:

If our children use their right hand to eat 10 times a day, then they will receive the reward 10 time of following one sunnah (using right hand to eat) * 100 shaheed (the reward) = 1000 shaheed. Insha Allah.

See, we have only one life and only die one time as shaheed. How merciful Allah is for us (the ummah of our nabi sallalaho alaihi wasallam)? Insha Allah, Allah will give us 100 shaheed for only follow one sunnah of the prophet sallallaho alaihi wasallam.

May Allah grant us taufiq and help us to follow the sunnah of our beloved nabi Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ameen.

Hemarrhagic Stroke - Read this true story that just happened.

There was a respected Muslim, who was in the path of Allah (Tabligh). He did the work of dawah in Pattalung, South of Thailand. He was an Amir of his group. He used to help other Muslim brother to memorize dua everyday.

One day, while he was sitting near other Muslim brothers who try to memorize more dua, everybody saw him sleeping suddenly. They tried to wake him up, but not success. So they sent him to local hospital immediately. The doctor checked him and told them that he had hemarrhagic stroke. There was no way to cure and he would sleep forever.

Therefore, all brothers sent him to hospital in Bangkok to have MRI (Magnetic resonance imaging ). The result was that his brain was damaged already and he was like a sleeping man. He must have brian surgery as soon as possible.

After sometime without curing anything yet, the doctor saw his body is moving, which was not possible. And that make the doctor checking his brain again. The result was that his brain was getting better 20%, 50%, and almost 80%. While he was getting better, he talked only the greatness of Allah. The doctor was so surprised how can it happen.

The doctor checked his brian with MRI again, to make sure how his brain was before making any decision for curing. Finally, his brian getting better and no need to do anything for surgery. He had to have therapy only.

Allah gave him sickness and recovered him while he is in dawah (Tabligh).

He told everyone that Allah gave his life again and he will never leave the work of dawah.

Day of Qiyamah

Nobody knows when the day of Qiyamah will be happen, but only Allah ta'ala Knows Best. However, our beloved prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam told us about the signs of Qiyamah. (see "http://www.intermuslim.com/signofQiyamah.html")

Few days ago, one respected elder told my husband about the day of Qiyamah. He said, the Qiyamah will happen within next 80 years. In our time or our children's time, we may meet Imaam Madhi and Dajjal. If a Muslim has weak Imaan, he may die as Kuffar, unbeliever.

What will happen to us and our children if we don't have strong Imaan? Is it a time to repent our past sins and follow the teaching of our beloved nabi sallallahu alaihu wasallam?

May Allah grant us taufiq and protect us from dajjal. Ameen.

How Do We Invite People to Islam?

This is true story.

A Muslim, who just got a doctor degree on Islamic study, want to debate with a Chrstain who also got a degree on Christain study. One day the Muslim asked the Christain, "How do you invite people to Islam?"

The Christain replied, "Invite me to your house and I will tell you."

One day, the Muslim invited the Christain to his house. He prepared very nice meal for his Christain Guest.

When the Chirstain arrived the Muslim's house, he rung the bell.

The Muslim opened the door and took the Christain to sit on the sofa. Then, the Muslim fed him food and took care of him very well. After sometime, they both started to talk about how do Muslim and Christain invite people to Islam.

The Muslim told the Christain so many things on how to propagate Islam. Then the Christain said, "Brother, other Muslims and you do a lot of work for propagating in Islam, but we don't do anything. People, including Muslim, follow us and help us to propagte Christain."

This saying made the Muslim so curious and ask the Christain, "Why?"

In reply:

Look brother! We don't have to talk or invite people to Christian because people are following us. Why? Just look at everything around your house, you have the TV, photo hung on the wall, and many things which are not permitted in Islam or it is not Islamic way of life. You see! You already have music in front of the door and that is the bell. So, your lifestyle is like us.

Moreover, people around the world, including Muslims, love to listen to music, watch TV, dress unIslamic clothes, take interest, etc. These lifestyle is not the lifestyle of the Prophet of Islam. That's why I said we don't do anything and people are following us because you and other people and Muslims are helping us to propagate Christain already."

-------------------------------------------------->

After listen to this story, we should make a lot of Istighfar, and ask Allah for Hidaya and help us to follow our beloved Nabi Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam's lifestyle.

Teach Children to Give Sadaqah

Few days ago, I started to teach my daughter (2 yrs old) about sadaqah although she may not understand the meaning well. Alhamdulillah, she really enjoy to give sadaqah everyday although she can't say "Sadaqah" properly. Whenever she want to give sadaqah, she would ask me in Thai "Kaqadah Mai Ka?" This means" Can I give sadaqah?"

I am not rich, so I can give her 1 - 5 baht to give sadaqah daily. Allah doesn't look at the amount of money, but intention. May Allah accept my daughter's good deed. Ameen.

I believe that to teach children at the young age to give Sadaqah will not make our children to love wealth in this world. Moreover, we should teach them to love for Akirah.

May Allah grant all of us to love to give Sadaqah and love to help the poor people. Ameen.

Be Patient! Allah is with us....

No matter how much difficulty we are facing in this world, always keep in mind that "Be patient; Allah is with us."

All problems, difficulties, and hardships are from Allah Ta'ala that mean the solutions of all problems, difficulties, and hardships are also from Allah Ta'ala. Whenever we are in trouble, always seek help and guidance from Allah Ta'ala and never complaint.

We don't know what Allah Ta'ala prepares us in the hereafter, so we must try our best to please Allah Ta'ala. Just be patient and have a firm believe in Allah Ta'ala.

Whenever we have any difficulties, just perform 2 rakaats of Salatul Hayat and make dua.

Keep an eye on our children when they travel on the Internet.

As I live in non-Muslim country, it is very important to teach and protect my children from non-Islamic activities and environment even though it is very difficult.

Today, my sister came to visit me and she visited the website that is about sharing photos to every friends and people around the world. It was my first time to see this website because I only use my computer for working and learning about Islam. I was so worried about our Muslim children when I saw many Muslim teenagers posting their photos and sharing the photos and their opinions with anyone, and this activity is not permissible in Islam. Therefore, we should guide and keep an eye on our children when they are online.

A Sad Story - Never Leave Your Children Alone in the House

This is a sad story from one lady. She went to visit her husband who was very sick in the hospital. So, she left her three children at home because she thought she couldn't take them to the hospital alone in the night time. While she was at the hospital with her husband, the fire spreaded quickly in her house.

So, what had happen to her children?

Her first two children, 10 years old and 8 years old, could escaped from the fire, and ask their neighbor to help their sister, 1 year old, who was laying down on her bed, because there was a lot of smoke from the fire in the house, so they couldn't help their sister.

The fire spreaded very fast as the house was made from wood. Their neighbors couldn't help her. Therefore, their youngest sister was burn in the fire while she was laying down on the bed.

When their mother came back home, she was shocked what had happed to her life and her children.

This is a true story. Whenever we want to go some where, we must take our children with us no matter how hard it is.
